I love photographing weddings at Wharfedale Grange. The venue always attracts amazing couples and Claire and Simon were no exception.

As a wedding photographer, I’ve witnessed countless beautiful weddings, but none have been as captivating and magical as this wedding at Wharfedale Grange. Just passed Harewood House in Leeds, nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Yorkshire, England, Wharfedale Grange sets the perfect stage for a dreamy and unforgettable celebration of love.
Wharfedale Grange is a stunning venue, tucked away in the picturesque countryside of Yorkshire. The long drive down the drive to the venue, I was greated by the rustic charm and elegant appeal of the large barn. The family-run business at Wharfedale Grange, with their amazing team of wedding ninjas makes the wedding day to be as stress-free as possible. The wedding ceremony took place in the romantic North Barn with thousands of twinkling fairy lights. The reception was held in the South Barn, where Claire and Simon made entrance as a newly married couple. Double height with its own mezzanine floor, the South Barn is filled with chandeliers, designer tables and luxury dining chairs and the biggest rose gold mirror ball you have ever seen over a dancefloor!
The morning was very chilled with Claire and her bridesmaids getting ready in Wharfedale Grange’s own prep room, looking out onto the courtyard where they could see guests arriving and importantly her groom. Chrys Chapman did an amazing job at hair and makeup too.
After the ceremony, we took the opportunity to sneak into the barn house to photograph some wedding portraits. A perfect opportunity to get away from everyone and have some time just to yourself. Portraits with me are super relaxed, I just let the couples do what they want and be themselves with very little prompts.
Wharfedale Grange is famous for is amazing floor to ceiling bar and couples are always requesting photos on said bar. So as all the guests were called into the wedding breakfast, we took the opportunity to carefully get Claire and Simon on to the bar for some stunning wedding photos.
Come the first dance massive confetti canons rained down confetti onto the couple with all their wedding guests joining them on the dance floor. The South West band did an amazing job of keeping the dance floor full. Nomad Catering provided amazing pizza’s for the late night drunk guests and a perfect snack for myself for the journey home.
