West Yorkshire Wedding Venues

Some of my favourite wedding venues to photograph in West Yorkshire

Best wedding venues in West Yorkshire

Here’s a quick guide to some of my favourite wedding venues in places like Leeds, Huddersfield, Wakefield, and other towns and cities in West Yorkshire.
These places are perfect for my natural, relaxed, documentary wedding photography style.

Wharfedale Grange in Leeds

Not far from Harewood House in Leeds, this modern converted barn is one of my favourite venues to photograph a wedding at.
The staff are super friendly. The barn is light perfect with natural light and the bar area is perfect for some awesome portraits with you both standing on top of the bar.
Summer is stunning with the wildflower meadow at the front and Christmas is magical when they decorate the place perfectly, making it magical.
Let’s not forget the giant disco ball too.

Holmfirth Vineyard

Sitting in the heart of the Holme Valley, looking over the valley, is Holmfirth Vineyard. Part of the Sheveling Wine Estate, they make some delicious Yorkshire wine as well as being one of my favourite wedding venues in West Yorkshire.

The venue is flooded with natural light, making it a breeze to photograph at, and when golden hour arrives, you get the opportunity for some beautiful sunset portraits.

Denroyd Farm in Upper Denby

A farm barn turned into an amazing wedding venue and event space. This family-run venue is the perfect place for a DIY wedding. Put your own stamp on the venue, get your favourite caterers in and book your favourite DJ or wedding band. And because its a farm, they’ll even let you bring your horse if you have one.
The best bit about this venue? I’m only 5minutes away as well and they also host some amazing events as well, like the Ibiza Classics afternoon rave, which is one of my favourites.

The Chapter Hall in Leeds

Set in a Grade II listed mill above the working Northern Monk brewery on the outskirts of Leeds city centre. This is a great venue for beer lovers, DIYers and couples wanting to throw the best party.

The space is a blank canvas for you to do with as you please. I photographed one of my all-time favourite wedding parties here, complete with over 80 baby Guinnesses as toast drinks and a surprise brass band that got the dance floor packed until bedtime.

Holdsworth House in Halifax

Tucked away on the outskirts of Halifax, this historic manor is a stunning venue to get married at. The gardens are a perfect place to enjoy drinks in the summer and even better for some relaxed wedding portraits.
I’ve photographed at this venue numerous times and I never tire of capturing weddings here. They even have a cat! And back in the 60s, The Beatles even stayed at the hotel.
